VII.9.59 Pompeii. December 2005. Looking west across shop. According to Eschebach, on the left would have been the counter, but no longer visible. On the right would have been the steps to the upper floor with a latrine beneath them. The cistern-mouth can also be seen on the right. See Eschebach, L., 1993.
